Very nice welcome, very professional and accommodating because we had reserved several rooms for our guests. Great receptionist. The suite was very beautiful with a view of the Loire. Very nice lounge bar.

Room covered with a carpet having lived under the traces. Bathroom impractical both by the shower and the electrical outlets (whose voltage only accepts razors...). View of a rock wall and the parking lot. So all for an unjustified price.

91 euros for a 1950s room. With a bathroom that is more than dilapidated. Everything has to be redone....

Bedroom on the second floor. 38 stairs to get to the room. It's dishonest not to report it on the Logis de France website. . External aspect of the hotel: a great need for cleaning of the walls the fabric awnings are to be changed unlit parking lot with a few holes.
The suite is very good for a family of 4, especially with the annex office. Very comfortable bedding. Our children remembered the excellent breakfast
The room was excellent, as was the welcome and help from the staff.
That being said, two things surprised me:
-Most of the staff does not speak English
-There is no elevator, and our room was on the third floor
Well located hotel in Gien with restaurant and bar. The family room is at the top with a children's room with 2 single beds and a very comfortable adult room. In addition, if you have an electric vehicle, the hotel has 4 charging stations (2 tesla and 2 others)

A few details that spoil the whole. Breakfast: no toaster, machine broken down for at least 3 weeks, always with the same oranges inside... Bedroom: correct, but curtain tieback to be fixed, holes in the tiles on the wall to be plugged, toilet seat to be fixed... Too bad again, these are only small defects that are easy to remedy.

Hotel well located, good welcome, very clean, good bedding, good breakfast. It deserves a good refresh in the hotel, painting, carpeting, grouting of the shower tiles to be redone. Very good stay, we recommend and we will return with pleasure.
Simply not to recommend this “hotel”
Price paid does not correspond to the price announced on the site. 2 breakfasts at €12.50 extra when they should have been included. Is there a communication problem between the website and the hotel? Room on the 3rd floor without elevator! We learned of this pleasant surprise after paying. No more possibility of changing rooms. The TV remote control does not work. The ceiling light bulb is burnt out.

I appreciated the little tokens of attention that make the quality of the stay... e.g.: a bathrobe available, the Hotelier who takes care of the reservation of a restaurant... king size bed, the maid's room dimension with a sofa corner ... a hearty and varied breakfast ... only downside: the shower head with a very low flow.

Reception only opens at 4 p.m. No possibility to drop off your luggage or take possession of the room which is however indicated on the reservation as being available from 3 p.m. Before, the hotel is closed with a mobile number to call in case of emergency. The first words of the receptionist who "welcomes" you are to tell you that it is "obligatory" to indicate at what time we wish to have lunch; otherwise we could not be served.
Very nice location of the hotel with a view of the Loire, easy access to restaurants on the banks of the Loire; cozy room with very good beds, bathroom with toilet area very clean; unfortunately not a single German-speaking television program (but since we understand French well, not a big problem), that would be easy to implement. The breakfast in the morning left nothing to be desired, very nice breakfast room with a panoramic window overlooking the Loire; Sufficient and free parking space in the backyard of the hotel. Reception and check-out easy and fast. In summary, a good hotel with charm for a stopover on the way from/to the Atlantic. The price/performance ratio is right. Tip: definitely book a room with a view of the Loire, it's worth it!

The welcome and the quality of the services are very appreciable. The hotel is comfortable and very clean although the rooms could do with modernizing and it is very well located. It is an address to remember.
Hotel is almost in ruins. Air conditioning present in the room but has not worked for years. A ridiculously small fan is provided instead, it does not replace an air conditioner. The paint is peeling off in several places in the corridors. A brushstroke would be enough to cover the missing paint in the rooms, there it is pure negligence. Shower floor also slippery, very dangerous. I remain convinced that I must not have been the only one to raise these problems. It's a shame this hotel has good potential.
Nice old hotel, very fitting for Gien, great location on the river, excellent breakfast buffet
We really enjoyed our stay and the central location to the town of Gien. The room was comfortable, even during the heat of the day. Your staff was very helpful, especially the gentleman that checked us in on Wednesday and who we interacted with frequently during our stay. The quality of the breakfast was superb and we really enjoyed having a pot of coffee to pour from, the choice of breads and yogurts, plus the jams. On a personal note, I would have enjoyed reading about the history of the hotel and it's usage over the years. Perhaps having a booklet available for reading could be a possibility in the future.

All the rooms have a view of the Loire, they are beautiful, sober and very pleasantly furnished. Class in their decoration. Discreet and benevolent welcome. Private parking… A very pleasant stopover!
With this heat the air conditioning is really missing! One night with a small fan is fine. Otherwise everything was fine.
This place has the potential to be an absolutely fabulous hotel, but, as is often the case in France, it lacks the polish and professionalism to rise above the disappointingly basic minimum level which ticks the box "satisfactory" - in some cases it even falls below: the rear parking lot (which should be a beautiful haven of peace surrounded by a white cliff) is more of an overgrown dumpsite air conditioning in the bedroom 'executive suite needs service for a long time and only blows hot air with an accompanying rattle (the room looked like a stale sauna when we arrived - a problem not solved by the very poorly chosen interior secondary double glazing (from large windows opening from the inside across the room and constantly trying to close and trap little fingers unless propped up with a chair!The bathroom versions were instead designed to cause head injuries to adults!) the sweet he of the bathroom (with cracks in the ceiling above the tub) should have been replaced 5 years ago the staff (although cheerful, friendly and courteous) seem to lack training and enthusiasm to be more helpful (I stayed for a few minutes waiting to be told if I should find my own table or be seated, no instructions on how the buffet/coffee etc. worked - it's not hard to provide simple 'how can I help' style customer service: 'please take a seat wherever you want, help yourself to the buffet and coffee, let us know if you need anything else: maybe a high chair for the toddler? for example… I had a similar example of this lackluster service at checkout, and I wasn't even thanked for my stay or offered maybe help with luggage (our room was on the 3rd floor, no lift and two small children with us - a helper with a bag or two could have been gratefully received!). Good points (because this place has a lot!): it's wonderfully located, has private parking (although see above and you might need a tetanus shot before getting out of your vehicle) the rooms and interior are immaculately clean (although they do need a bit of attention to detail in terms of hardware repairs), the decor and furnishings are lovely and stylish (there's a really chic and expected of higher priced accommodation), rooms are large and airy with views of the Loire on a quiet riverside street, beds are large and comfortable, buffet breakfast was a very good selection of fresh produce, the suite did not have a refrigerator or coffee maker, but otherwise was spacious and well appointed. In summary: clean up the back of the building, fix the few minor issues like shower heads, paint and some training/encouragement to provide more attentive staff - after these upgrades I would be more than happy to visit again and would most likely give 5 stars, so far it's with disappointment, just "satisfactory".

Disappointment on arrival with an unwelcoming lobby. The rooms do not conform to the photos on the site and the bathrooms really deserve a renovation. But the cleanliness is there despite signs of wear on the floor and walls.

The hotel is clean and comfortable. We had booked the junior suite. We regret the absence of a fridge (useful during a heat wave), a kettle with a few doses of coffee and tea. Also worth mentioning is the lack of an elevator. Our disappointment comes mainly from the fact that we found the door closed at 2:30 p.m. when we wanted to access our room. It was clearly mentioned that the hotel was closed from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., which seemed incredible to me for a 3-star hotel... There was indeed a telephone number to call in the event of an emergency, but no one on the line . There was also a digicode but the code was not communicated to us... We later learned that you had to pass the card used for the room in front of the digicode to open the door, which was not easy. In conclusion, the hotel is quite good but it is run by staff who are not trained in the profession they exercise

Very warm welcome from the management and all the staff, all very friendly. Very clean room. Buffet breakfast at the top. We appreciated the possibility of having very good “jarred” meals at the hotel's lounge bar, despite the absence of a restaurant. Private parking at the back of the hotel very appreciable. Only small downside, the shower head to be reviewed because it no longer holds and old taps to neutralize, or even put a shower screen instead of a less practical shower curtain.

The decor of our room was tired, tiles falling off the wall, holes in the walls from old fittings etc. The bar had a poor choice of drinks and it seemed like we were troubling the lady on reception to get her to serve us a drink.

Room not clean at all. A smell that makes it necessary to leave the windows open. It is very hot in the rooms, and there is no air conditioning. There was blood on my duvet, and the carpet was very poorly cleaned. The breakfast is ok but still very light. If you must go around, I recommend going elsewhere. Cordially.

Très bien dans l’ensemble
Par contre check in à 17h donc beaucoup trop tard … on peut payer un check in early 18€ pour accéder à la chambre plus tôt . C’est cher miur finalement une heure classique d’arrivée dans d’autres hotels
Un plus serait d’avoir une cafetière et une théière dans la chambre
